Information You Submit
Terms Entered in Search
A name, location, or other term entered into a search tool is transmitted to the third-party provider that operates the tool. We do not store or log those search terms on our own systems.
Messages Sent to Us
We retain email or contact-form content as needed to read and answer a message. We do not share a message outside our organization unless disclosure is legally required.
Technical Data Collected Automatically
Normal page requests can create technical and usage information. This helps the service function and shows how visitors use it. The data may include:
- internet protocol address;
- browser name and version;
- device category and operating system;
- pages viewed and time spent on them;
- the referring site, when supplied; and
- request and visit timestamps.
Cookie Controls
Cookies may help measure visits and site use. Browser controls can reject or remove cookies, though blocking them may cause some site or partner features to work differently.
How Information Supports the Site
Collected information is used for defined operational purposes:
- keeping pages available and responsive;
- sending search requests to the selected partner service;
- learning which resources visitors find useful;
- diagnosing errors, misuse, and performance problems; and
- displaying advertising that may reflect visitor interests.
Privacy Beyond Our Pages
Links lead to KCSO rosters and booking reports, city and county request portals, Idaho correctional and court resources, federal locators, news pages, and outside search tools. Once a visitor follows a link, the destination’s privacy policy and data practices control.
Advertising providers may use their own technology to measure activity across websites or select interest-based ads. That tracking occurs on their systems and is governed by their policies, not this notice.
Parties That May Receive Data
We do not sell personal information. Limited data may be handled by:
- search partners processing a submitted query;
- analytics providers measuring use and performance;
- advertising networks delivering or measuring ads; and
- law-enforcement or government authorities responding to a valid legal order.
Security Has Practical Limits
We use standard safeguards suited to the information and service. No website, network, transmission method, or storage system can be promised as fully secure or breach-proof, so absolute security is not guaranteed.
Visitors Younger Than Eighteen
This service is intended for adults. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 18. If a minor submitted information, contact us so a deletion request can be reviewed and handled.
Your Information Choices
Subject to applicable law and identity verification, a person may:
- ask for a copy of personal information we hold;
- request correction of inaccurate information;
- request deletion of personal information; and
- object to or opt out of certain processing.
Changes to This Notice
We may revise these privacy practices as the service or law changes. An updated version will be posted on this page with a new effective date.
